Great big dollops of Funk, Northern Soul, Ska, Reggae, Lounge, Motown, 60's Girl groups, Psychedelia, Soundtracks, underground Disco, Mod, Old school Hip Hop, Balearica and whatever else takes my fancy, be it well-known and much loved classics or obscure little gems. I've put them all at just under 80 minutes for those who still like to listen to cds in the car etc. The mixes are planned to be set out as one long, long set - so although there's the usual Eclectic Circus mix of genres and styles, the series will start off a bit more mellow and you won't be getting too much of the more uptempo stuff I like such as Northern and Disco till a bit further down the line. I hope you like this first one, and I'll post the second in a short while. As before, the emphasis is on a continuous blend of music I love rather than a showcase for any mixing skills (to be honest, I keep nearly all these tracks at their original tempo). I'll post tracklistings in a little while but for now I hope you go in with no knowledge of what you're going to hear and an open mind.
